About This Blog

My desire for Gospel Homemaker is that it will be a place for all women of all different ages and seasons of life will find encouragement to reach out to others with the love of Christ from wherever you are right now. College-aged young women, single working ladies, busy moms, grandmas, great-grandma, widows living alone… We are all women, and thus we all have instruction from God’s Word on who we are to be and what we are to do.

(I also hope you will contribute to this blog with your feedback — who knows, your comment may spark a new series or guest posts!).

Another thing we all have in common as that we live in the world, and are therefore subject to temptation from the world, our own flesh, and the devil. It has amazed me at times when older godly women have pointed out mindsets that seem “normal” to me, then peel away layer after layer and help me realize that at its core, it is the mindset of the world. If you don’t have the blessing of a godly older woman willing to speak truth into their lives, I hope that you will find some encouragement here in the meantime until God brings that mentor along for you, as much of what I will share was first shared with me from one godly older lady or another. We need to be reminded daily through His Word and the encouragement of other believers what it truly means to be a godly woman. If you aren’t yet sure what I’m even talking about, I hope this blog will point you to your Creator who longs to also be your Father and Savior and Redeemer. Your heart was created to worship, and He alone can fill your deepest longings and is the only object worthy of worship.

The mission of Gospel Homemaker is to encourage women in glorifying God through the roles He has outlined for us in Scripture, using our homes and everything in them, our relationships, our lives, to spread the gospel and remind everyone who enters our homes of the praiseworthiness of our God.

To this end, we will study Scripture together, as well as exploring tangible ways to put into practice the things that we learn, striving to be doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22-25). Along the way, we may sprinkle in some other “just for fun” extras, too.

My prayer is that God will use Gospel Homemaker to be a source of blessing and edification to the women of God and a light to those who don’t know Him to help point them to Christ and bring glory to His great name.
